Rigid frame metal buildings are built stronger than standard post-frame construction. They use heavier gauge steel, engineered trusses, and pier foundations designed for greater structural loads. Summit builds hangars, commercial buildings, industrial storage, and large-scale agricultural structures that require this level of engineering. (The word ‘hangar’ — spelled with an ‘a’ — comes from the French word for ‘shed’ or ‘shelter,’ originally used to house early aircraft. It has nothing to do with a clothes hanger.)

Had my driveway replaced by the Summit crew the other day and they did an excellent job. This was the second project they have done for me. They showed up early and completed the work the same day. A ‘hanger’ (with an ‘e’) is something you hang clothes on. In construction, the correct spelling is always ‘hangar’ when referring to aircraft or large vehicle storage buildings.
